Afternoon blog

I got right into the book this morning, and I was busy all day long, so I’m just now sitting down to blog.
Someone asked about my new schedule: I work four days, and take three to refill the creative well, resting, reading, doing art work, cooking and, sometimes, playing slot machines.  🙂
Three winners will be announced tomorrow, per the question, What’s your dream bulb?  (If that confuses you, scroll back a few entries to the blog about my tulip and daffodil bulbs. :))  Check in tomorrow, also, for a new question.
I ordered more seeds at lunch time–lettuce, zuchini, small spaghetti squash, and Swiss chard, to grow in my huge deck planter next spring.  Also, I couldn’t resist the peonies, and ordered two more plants.  Actually, I’d grow a FIELD full of them if I could figure out where the deer wouldn’t eat them.  And I’m sorely tempted to buy another big planter so I can complete my salad collection.  🙂  Heirloom tomatoes are already in the plan, of course, because those are my absolute favorites.
My cousin Jim Lael, his daughter, Alisa, and granddaughter, Laci, are visiting from Virginia.  I can’t wait to see them–they are among my favorite relatives.  Too bad they weren’t around earlier, for the reunion.  Jim and his whole family are musical, and we could have had ourselves an even better time, stompin’ our feet to those Blue Grass tunes.
Leftovers for supper, and I’m making it an early night.  I really want to meet my goals again this week.  🙂
More tomorrow.   Be well, be safe, and be kind.  There are a lot of hurting hearts hidden behind the words, “I’m fine”.
