Ever since Laurie Mika’s classes at the CREATE Mixed Media workshop in California, I’ve been spending every spare minute making polymer clay tiles. It’s a fever, a compulsion. At first, I worked in my kitchen/breakfast nook area–where I write this blog most mornings–and you can probably imagine the mess! (Picture an episode of “Hoarders: Buried Alive” and magnify to roughly the scale of Armaggedon.) Cousin Mary Ann, who keeps house and generally runs the outfit from a practical standpoint, was going crazy, although I have to give her credit, because she hardly complained. 🙂 Anyway, I used my weekend, with some help from Chris, the weekend wrangler and general all-around guy-Friday, to move the entire operation downstairs, where it should be. That is, in the large craft/studio area reserved for such purposes. I have a clear space to work in and as soon as I’m done with my writing for the day, along with a telephone interview, you can bet I’ll be down there, playing with my toys!
At my age.
Yep, it’s official.
