But not of Manderley.
I dreamed I was moving to Florida with my ex-husband–and we’d be crossing the country on his motorcyle, no less. He wanted me to leave my dog and cats behind–and to be fair, Rick is a mellow guy these days, and an animal lover to boot. (We’ve been divorced since 1987 and he’s married to a wonderful woman named Kathy.) Bottomline, he’d never expect me or anyone else to abandon a beloved pet. Needless to say, my dream self refused.
Boy, was I glad to wake up–even if it WAS four o’clock in the morning!
Excellent writing day today–have I mentioned that I’m already madly in love with “The Marriage Pact”? 🙂 I was up at 4 today, as usual on a writing day, and I went to my office immediately. Even so, I was still writing at 2:30 this afternoon. I just don’t seem to do things as fast as I used to, when I was younger. But I like to think I’m more thorough now, doing a better job. I am VERY conscious of my readers, of giving all of you the story you’re hoping for.
My quilting adventure continues, along with the renovations on the house. 🙂 Things are never dull around here, I promise you.
Sometimes, the prospect of a little dullness seems to have its merits, but the truth is, like many right-brained people, I thrive on chaos. I NEED change, need to think on my feet and improvise. It’s just the way I am.
Go figure.
