Regarding the re-release of previously published Mojo books. Over my protest, DEADLY GAMBLE was released as ARIZONA WILD, and DEADLY DECEPTIONS will come out soon as ARIZONA HEAT. Many readers have purchased ARIZONA WILD, expecting a new story, and some of them are both angry and disappointed.
Suffice it to say, I don’t blame them. I apologize for not fighting harder to keep this from happening–I assure you, it won’t be repeated–and for not issuing a clear statement, well in advance, that you may have read the books before, under another title.
Unfortunately, such decisions are not made by authors, but by publishers.
I take full responsibility for my part in this, and I am sorry it happened at all.
To all those who spoke up, I offer my sincere thanks. This kind of feedback is extremely valuable, to both publishers and authors, and I am grateful. Believe me when I tell you that the last thing I would ever want to do is make my readers unhappy for any reason.
