What a writing day!

I was really in the swing yesterday, writing and writing and loving every minute of it.  This Parable crew is a lively bunch!
I’m leaving for New York this Sunday, taking a little vacation, and visiting the Big Apple is always a treat.  It will be hot but, what the heck, we’ll survive.  If Dad were there, he’d say, “Tough up, Sis.”
As always, I will TRY to blog while I’m away, but I can’t guarantee anything.  🙂  You know me–I always seem to run into technical difficulties.  For those of you who follow me on Twitter, I’ll be posting pictures and comments right along.
Bernice and I are going out to the barn in a little while–that’s a routine that can’t be skipped.  We had another moose come through the other day, so I’m watchful when we go out, as Harald has a habit of appearing suddenly, and within charging distance.
I’ve been making a few artist trading cards again, in my spare time, but I’m still pretty fixated on making tiles from polymer clay, ala Laurie Mika, to use in future mosaics.  I love to experiment, and that keeps things exciting.  I plan on doing some art journaling while I’m in NYC, too.  Daughter Wendy has caught the artist trading card bug from her mama–it’s quite contagious–and I’m looking forward to seeing her work.  She’s really very talented, as a writer and as an artist.  (Yes, I know I’m prejudiced, but she IS talented.)  🙂  The online ATC (see above) swaps have slowed down a lot, as they always do in the summer, when people are so busy.
I finally planted some zinnias a couple of weeks ago.  They’re growing like crazy, but I’m not sure they’ll have enough time to bloom.  The lilies I bought in remembrance of my flower-loving dad flourished this spring, but the peonies were a bit on the puny side.  Now that Jeremy is keeping up the yard, the plants will all be properly prepared for winter, and that should mean glorious blossoms NEXT spring.
Well, I think the folks in Parable are getting restless waiting for me.
Until tomorrow.
Be well, be happy and be kind.
Oh, and by the way–you mean the world to me.  Thanks for riding the same trail.
